Prof. Doctorate in Administrative Psychology
The PsyD program in Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology follows the scientist-practitioner model, emphasizing psychological theory and behavioral science. Faculty members involved in the IO Psychology Doctorate program have expertise in organizational leadership, culture, turnover, job attitudes, individual differences, human resource development, work-family issues, occupational health and safety, and the inclusion of women and minorities in the workplace. They are well versed in research design and statistics. We encourage researchers to make innovative and professional contributions to the field. Our performance expectations and standards are high; however, faculty members are committed to your success. The learning environment is open, nurturing, and cooperative, and students are encouraged to be active partners in the learning process.
The PsyD online degree program is for individuals who are interested in advancing their knowledge of psychology and developing the practical application of this knowledge for the professional practice of psychology and counseling. The Doctor of Psychology exposes learners to theoretical and practical methodologies within the field. As a doctorate-holder, a person who has earned a PsyD could definitely refer to themselves as “Dr.,” though it’s good to note that PsyDs are not medical doctors and in most states cannot prescribe medication or conduct medical treatments.
The thesis can be presented in the appropriate language for the student, but the Title, the name of the researcher, and an abstract should be presented in the English language for approval.
The award of a professional doctorate depends on the presentation and discussion of a research thesis, as there are no online or registered lectures in this program.
